Coconino Press was born in 2000 in Bologna from the mind of Igort, a creative and innovative cartoonist of the italian scene. The name is taken from the imaginary country where Krazy Kat lives, the cat created by George Herrimann, one of the most beautiful comics that have ever been in production. The Coconino's challenge is to spread the comic strip, through a careful choice of books from different cultures, ranging from Japan, USA and Europe.
Founded in 2001 by Coniglio's: it focuses on Comics and Music. Over the years it has published authors such as Milo Manara, Filippo Scozzari, Gipi, Paul Basins. In 2010 it created a Web Comics, a free magazine available online in pdf format which brings together emerging authors.
